ZAGREB21 is one of the first running races of spring and it’s growing year by year. Great location and date, fast and straight track attracted a lot of runners from Croatia, region and 10 other countries. Some years this early spring dates gave us sunny and wonderful races, but we also witnessed real winter temperatures. One of the characteristics of this track is that it crosses Sava river 4 times, and this year that is the motive for the medal that every runner gets for finishing the race.
Last year organizers changed the track to be more interesting and attractive for the runners. A lot of historic and famous monuments of Zagreb can be seen while running and straight running lines and almost no uphill are guarantee for good results. ZAGREB21 showed to be amazing race and Balkan athletic federation decided that 9th Balkan championship in half marathon will be held as part of ZAGREB21! This track is official Croatian Championship race for single and team competitions for second year straight and it’s included in calendar of European athletic federation as a 5-star race.
